About

auGi (aka SexyNurd)
Playful. Animated. Hairy. Do I have you now?
During a seven-year stint in L.A., auGi created, wrote, produced, and performed in hundreds of shows at both The Second City theater and the world famous Improv, appeared as a regular feature on “The Best of the Worst” on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and was hit on the head by a paper plate during a raucous open mic.
Since returning to Portland, auGi co-wrote and starred in his autobiographical solo show, SexyNurd, which played to sold-out audiences during both the 2010 Fertile Ground and Singlehandedly festivals. He also appeared on the hit OPB radio show Live Wire, shared frightening lyrics from his teenage “Beast” songbook at Mortified, and workshopped a new solo show–Teenage Commando–at the 2011 Singlehandedly festival.
auGi is a graduate of The Second City conservatory and was mentored in the art of standup by Lewis Black’s personal manager.
auGi–who spells his name with a lowercase “a” and a capital “G” to create confusion and mystery–is currently working on his first book of short stories, a benefit in honor of his mom for the MS Society, and the world premiere of Big Plastic Heroes for the 2012 Fertile Ground Theater Festival.
